Colorado Field Ornithologists Annual Convention
May 28, 2026 – May 31, 2026
Please join us at the 2026 Colorado Field Ornithologists convention. Our “Peaks to Prairie” convention means you could get a high altitude bird like an American Three-toed Woodpecker on one day, and a grassland specialty like the Chestnut-collared Longspur the next day. We have extensive field trips available for full- and half-day trips. Combine that with a robust science session, a lively Exhibit Hall, and connecting with fellow birders, and you’ll experience a memorable birding event you won’t soon forget.
This convention is based in Loveland, CO (Embassy Suite by Hilton Loveland) and is about 1 hour, 15 minutes north of Denver International Airport. Each year attendees experience a different part of Colorado and see new birds and habitats with field trips led by local experts. This is a great opportunity to meet new friends, renew old friendships, and learn about birds in an informal atmosphere.
